CWU Health & Safety Representatives are here to protect, support, and speak up for you. Their role is to make sure your workplace is safe, healthy, and compliant with the law and that your voice is heard when it comes to safety matters.

We carry out regular inspections to spot hazards early and make sure the company is following all health and safety regulations.

Representing You
If you’ve got health and safety concerns, we’re your voice. We raise issues with management on your behalf and push for real solutions.

Working with Management
We work alongside managers to improve health, safety, and wellbeing across the board from policy to practice.

Promoting a Safety Culture
We help create a workplace where everyone looks out for each other by encouraging safe working habits and raising awareness.

Support and Guidance
Need help with a health and safety issue? From equipment concerns to work-related stress, we offer confidential advice and support.

Making Sure The Company Follows the Law
We help ensure the company meets its legal responsibilities under health and safety laws and challenge them if they don’t.

Training and Development
Our reps are trained experts. We also get involved in helping you and your colleagues understand your rights and responsibilities.

Tackling Specific Issues
We get involved in issues like stress, hazardous materials, and unsafe practices and work to put things right quickly.

Liaising with Authorities
When needed, we work with bodies like the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to deal with serious concerns.
