General Meetings - For All Members

General Meetings are meeting in which members can attend and influence the direction of the branch and the union as a whole. Any member can attend and vote on any propositions put before the meeting. Invites would be sent out via email with instructions on how to join online or the location of ant face to face meetings. Please contact the branch for any further information.

Committee Meetings

Committee Meetings are for elected members of the branch committee and officers. By their nature these are held more often and assist the officers in the direction of the branch. Committee meetings may include more details than a General meeting with officers reporting back to the committee what they have achieved since their last meeting. Should you wish to attend a meeting with the view to becoming a member, please contact the Branch Secretary.

Extraordinary General Meetings

Extraordinary General Meetings (also known as Special General Meetings) are convened when Branch Officers or Members wish to urgently discuss a specific issue. These meetings allow important matters to be addressed without waiting for the next scheduled General Meeting. If 20 branch members formally request such a meeting, the Branch Secretary is required to facilitate it.
