Full Time Officer - Dave Kauffman

I joined the Union when I first started at BT and became more actively involved a few years later after witnessing unfair practices by some managers in the workplace.

I gradually worked in various Union roles, from Tunbridge Wells CWU, to South East Central CWU to todays new iteration of South East Telecom CWU. With the recent merger of the three neighbouring CWU branches, I have taken up the senior role of Secretary of this new branch.

I currently lead on Openreach issues as the branch officer and also serve as the BT Committee’s Regional Secretary, addressing issues across BT.

I believe our branch should be a strong, campaigning voice within the CWU. I’ve been at the forefront of the fight against the unfairness. This injustice fuels my commitment to stand up for our members in the southeast.
