The time for the biennial conference is upon us. This year it will be held in Bournemouth in the BIC, starting on Sunday May 10th until Late on Thursday 14th March.

Retired CWU members have called for a “new deal for pensioners” to fight the “excessive abuse” older people experience at the hands of politicians.

The demand for the union and their allies to launch a campaign was made by over 80 delegates at a conference held in Birmingham to discuss strategy and issues yesterday (15th October).

Labour conference delegates condemned TikTok’s “disgusting” behaviour towards its workers in front of ministers, as protests took place outside of a party sponsored by the “union-busting” company.

During the morning of conference, delegate Ollie Probert-Hill received repeated applause for attacking TikTok’s sponsorship of a Labour Students social event.

“This company has been using union-busting techniques to stop CWU workers voting on union recognition”, he said.

As you are aware, the CWU Openreach National Team (NT) has been in discussions with
Service Delivery Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) regarding your attendance patterns. It is
disappointing that FTTP has moved to serve notice on the members remaining on a 4-day
week or 9-day fortnight all year round to change their attendance to 5 days per week
during the seasonal period (3 November 2025 until 9 February 2026).

CBRE members of the CWU are being urged to vote ‘yes’ on a deal that will guarantee inflation-busting pay rises.

Members on the facilities services provider’s BT contract are being encouraged to accept the deal, which have concluded after a series of negotiations between union representatives and management.
